What to do with Jenrry Mejia

There are many different thoughts on what to do with prospect Jenrry Mejia. Some feel that he should be brought up to the team for Opening Day and pitch in the bullpen. Others feel that he should be brought up for Opening Day also, but should be our fifth starter.

Some see him as the closer of the future. Some see him as the future ace of the staff. This seems like the same situation the Yankees found themselves in with Joba Chamberlain a couple years back. If you want to compare these situations then I find myself saying..

LEAVE HIM ALONE!

Jenrry Mejia in my opinion is too raw to be brought up to the 25 man roster for Opening Day. He's having a strong spring, why stop that? If he gets sent down to the minors, either AA or AAA he will continue to dominate. He should be a starter, and strictly a starter. We have questions with our bullpen, no doubt. We have many more questions about our rotation, though.

In a year or two, we could be talking about Mejia compares to some of the best "Ace in the Hole" starters in the big leagues.
